Profesionales del personal educativo, HB 1017

Qué hace el proyecto de ley

  • HB 1017 (texto completo) requiere que cada distrito escolar cree una lista de escasez crítica de profesionales del personal educativo similar a la lista actual que cumple con las áreas críticas de escasez de maestros.
  • Los distritos escolares deben financiar incentivos para reclutar y retener a profesionales del personal educativo en puestos que tienen una escasez crítica. Estos fondos estarían sujetos a apropiación legislativa.
  • A más tardar el 1 de julio de 2023, cada distrito escolar debe adoptar e implementar un programa para proporcionar a los paraprofesionales un "sistema de desarrollo profesional" y proporcionar incentivos económicos para "fomentar la excelencia entre los paraprofesionales de la educación".

  • HB 1017 tendrá su primera parada de comité en el Subcomité de Educación Secundaria y Desarrollo Profesional de la Cámara.
  • SB 1576 se escuchará en el Comité de Educación del Senado el 25 de enero a las 10 a. m.
