FEA-Retired Innovative Grants

Each year, FEA Retired recognizes and supports active FEA members with $150 FEA-R Innovative Grants for projects that will enhance efficient and effective teaching and student learning.

Applications will be available August 1, 2024. See your Building Rep or contact your FEA-Retired District Director for a quick and simple application!

FEA/Retired is proud to continue its classroom enhancement grant program. This program helps working FEA members implement educational programs for students that otherwise could not successfully exist due to a lack of budgetary funding and support. The criteria are broad and are only limited by the ingenuity of the teacher.

The possibilities are endless. Here are a few projects created by previous winners:

  • A third grade teacher held an ice cream social for the other 3rd grade classes and in the process taught the children about graphics, multiplication and how to write invoices.
  • A kindergarten teacher purchased magnet white boards so the students could practice their letters and words for reading readiness.
  • A first grade teacher bought 5 guitars to start a beginners guitar class for 1st graders
  • A High School drama teacher used the money to produce and host a play “The Bully Show” from 18 elementary and middle schools in her district.

Your imagination and creativity are all that will limit your participation. FEA-R asks that all winners send FEA Retired a short report about the project and its success. This grant is open to all members, including teachers and education staff professionals.
