2025 Delegate Assembly

The Delegate Assembly (DA) is FEA’s highest decision-making body. Important decisions are made that impact education and association policy.

Each year, locally-elected delegates come together to discuss and debate education issues, elect officers and chart the organization’s future.

At the 2025 Delegate Assembly, these members:

  • Choose from 10 Professional Development sessions as part of the pre-DA Professional Development Day,
  • Passed the 2026-2027 budget that included a dues increase that will bolster our union and build our collective power,
  • Debated and voted on 23 New Business Items (NBIs),
  • Elected by acclamation NEA Directors Marian Phillips and Cartier Scott,
  • Hear directly from members their stories of why they are union members, why they chose the profession and what the future of public education could look like,
  • Adopted a legislative agenda that is focused on our collective power and futures,
  • and heard from our keynote speaker, Gerry Brooks, an inspirational educator who reminded us all that we have more in common than we think.

🎉 Celebrating Our Union

We were thrilled to be able to honor our history as we took a look back at 25 years of being merged as one union, the Florida Education Association, as well as the locals celebrating 50+ years of collective bargaining rights.

We were so proud to be able to recognize you- the educators who are committed to our students and communities each day. How great was it to hear from those who have been continuously employed in a public school for 50 or more years?

We want to continue to hear from you. Be sure that you share your story with us. You can also always nominate a wonderful colleague (including yourself!) for a potential feature in FEA’s monthly member newsletter the eAdvocate.

Want to relive some part of the DA? Weren’t able to attend this year? You can see photos and videos from every part of the Deletgate Assembly.

  • Take the challenge to talk to 10 colleagues and get them to join with us in our union — make sure you have the membership form pulled up on your device when you do!
