Fund Our Future Bus Tour: Week 3

Day 9: Sunday, November 3

Week three began with visits to several churches in Manatee County to deliver the message to #FundOurFutureFL

Day 10: Monday, November 4

The first stop of the day was at Immokalee Elementary to provide students with books in both English and Spanish.

Seeing the joy on students’ faces as they receive free books is so nice, we did it twice on Day 10. The second stop was at Lake Trafford Elementary.

After spending the day with students, the evening was spent with parents and community members at an education summit in Naples.

Day 10 wrap-up:

Day 11: Tuesday, November 5

The day began with a celebration of student success at Nocatee Elementary in Arcadia.

Next, the bus traveled to Rogers-Garden Bullock Elementary in Bradenton for more student recognitions and the dedication of a little free library.

In the evening Rogers Elementary would host a community conversation that was standing room only.

Day 11 wrap-up:

Day 12: Wednesday, November 6

Since it was a Wednesday, that meant it was time for #RedforEd at Skycrest Elementary.

The bus then left Pinellas for a Community Conversation focused on student discipline in Hillsborough County.
