They called it “Red Tuesday.” Florida teachers, parents and education supporters welcomed their new Governor showing a sign of unity. Dressed in red education advocates sent a message of support for their public schools and opposition to Gov. Rick Scott's proposed plans to reform public education.
Scott is pro-voucher, supports merit pay, is opposed to continuing teacher contracts and wants to change the public school funding formula. He has also stated that he would sign a SB 6 type legislation if presented to him.
