Educators' rankings don't move much according to a study that examined teacher preparation and effectiveness. New teachers increase their classroom effectiveness within a few years on the job but research suggests rankings teachers does little to get the best teachers in teh classroom. The study found the most—and least—effective elementary teachers can be identified at the start of their careers.
