This video aired at the 2008 Florida Education Association Delegate Assembly in Tampa, Fl.. It marks the official anniversary recognition of the 1968 Statewide Teacher Walkout in Florida. In 1968, teachers in public schools across the state resigned their jobs in an effort to bring attention to various issues that were crippling public education, including a lack of adequate funding, class size, working conditions, salaries, and a need for adequate school supplies and resources for students.

This video celebrates the activism spirit that motivated Florida's teachers to take action, thus initiating change.
